That's my man Herman Cain, letting the faithful know that he is one of them. Question for Herman: Why do you have to be on any plantation? Why did you leave the Democratic plantation for a republican one? Can't a black man just be free of plantation politics?

I mean I know you need the machine to get elected to any significant office in this country, (see Obama)but do you really believe that you have a legitimate shot at republican money? Can't you just give us solutions to what you think are our problems (by our I mean A-merry-ca) instead of putting down other black people? (BTW, please stick no national issues when you give us those solutions. You are coming up a little short in the foreign policy area.)

Yes, I know that you won the debate in South Carolina. But, with all due respect, I had a pet parrot once that would have won that debate.

Herman, did you really say that "Black Democrats equal slavery and I am a runaway"? Now see Herman, that ain't cool. That is exactly the type of rhetoric that pisses off black folks who would consider voting for your jigging ass. Let's say, for instance, that I happen to be a black democrat, but I like some of your policies and I don't like Obama. You just turned me off from voting for you because you called me a slave. This is the problem I find with black conservatives; in an effort to fit in with their wingnut brothers and sisters, they go over the top. They lose all sense of decorum and decency. It's as if they have to outdo their wingnut cohorts to show them that they are serious. Let me go catch dat slave massa, I ain't like de rest of em.

"I'm not like other blacks...." Herman, on that we can agree.

"Do The Right Thing."

There are some things that right wingers and I can agree on. Things such as school choice, and limited government in certain instances. But there are certain beliefs that these folks have that would prevent me from even consider joining their gang. Their bigotry against Muslims comes to mind.

Which brings me to Governor Krispy Kreme. I have ripped him in the past, but I have to give him credit for not giving in to the wave of bigotry that has swept over his party. Governor Krispy Kreme actually nominated a Muslim American lawyer for a judgeship in his state. (New Jersey)

Finally, a potential republiclown candidate for president does the right thing. (BTW, of all the candidates in the republiclown field, only Governor Krispy Kreme trails O in head to head polls by less than double digits. )

His fellow republiclowns, on the other hand, were not so tolerant of those evil Mooslims.

Herman, you disappointed me. A black man showing bigotry to others? If anyone should show tolerance to others it's you.

"But Christie - who has been courted to run for president - has basically done just what Cain said he would never do. In January, he nominated Sohail Mohammed, an Indian-born Muslim living in Clifton, to Superior Court in Passaic County. Mohammed awaits confirmation by the Democratic-controlled Senate.

Christie had not said much publicly about Mohammed until Tuesday, when he took a question at a Hammonton town-hall meeting from a Marlton man with an American flag on his shirt. Reiterating an accusation that has circulated mostly in the right-wing blogosphere, the man wanted to know why Christie was appointing an "Islamist" who defends Guantanamo Bay inmates.

Christie first said Mohammed was not involved with Gitmo inmates and instead had represented those detained after Sept. 11 before they were released and exonerated.

"Now, I have to tell you something," Christie said. "If it is disqualifying for the bench to be an Arab American in New Jersey who represents innocent people and gets them released, then this isn't the state I believe it is."

Christie, who misspoke in calling Mohammed an Arab American, went on to say Mohammed is a "good, decent American and New Jerseyan." The man with the flag on his shirt thanked the governor, and there was cautious applause." [Source]

OK, he isn't perfect, but he might be the best they have.

The republican's latest Negro experiment.

I wish my man Herman Cain well, I really do. I heard that he was in Iowa last week giving em his I am black but I am just like you speeches. I wonder how he is playing down there? It looks like they [the republicans] are going social again and forgetting the economy now that O and his peeps have the Dow over *12,000 and the unemployment numbers heading South and not North. Anyway, Herman might have some work to do before he can convince the rest of you Negroes that he means well.

"Listen, all token black conservative presidential candidates who Republicans keep trying to push on us colored folk; I really don’t have a problem with your decision to throw your hat in the ring. Why not, right? Everyone is entitled, and if you feel like you’re qualified then do your thing and show us just that – your qualifications. Do not, however, use the same tired and insulting tactics year after year in an effort to court a political base that has little interest in you by embarrassing the rest of your community.

First, This Year’s Black Conservative Herman Cain tried to get attention for his pending presidential campaign by telling anyone who would listen: “Don’t condemn me because the first black one was bad.” Yes, of course, the go-to sleaze tactic to use when you are eager to prove to some white people that you dislike President Obama as much as them is to say something attention grabbing like that.

Now, right on schedule, he has busted out the second in what I’m sure will be a series of cliché tactics to appeal to his conservative base: Christianity. Cain appeared on the Christian Broadcast Network and told the interviewer that he believed God brought him through cancer so that he could maybe become president, Politico reports. Stop it, dude. And I say that as a Christian. We know that professed religion is pretty much a requirement for all conservative candidates, but to take advantage of that moment in your life and twist it for political gain is really sleazy." Now now Mr. Smith, don't be so hard on Herman. Maybe he means well. Why don't we give him a chance before we call him a house dwelling hypocrite?
