Annoying F*ck

Larger than life Bono, lead singer of Irish band U2,
performs at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday
evening. Close to 100 000 fans flocked to the concert. Bono
told the crowd that "the rest of the world isfinally catching up
to the fact that this place [South Africa]feels like the future".

Comment:  I remember a music awards show in Los Angeles a few years ago where Bono walked out on stage smoking a cigar and saying something like "we have been f*cking with the mainstream all our lives".

Whatever.

Bono is the mainstream and a jackass who for a few delusional moments maneuvered himself into the 'saviour' of the African continent.  And he did so joining hands with the establishment.

What came of all that saviour sh*t he was selling?

So now he thinks South Africa "feels like the future"!  I guess folks who live in the west and buy his pseudo-radical  posturing better beef up their alarm systems and put burglar bars on just about everything.

Guru Mooi sent me a message just moments before the concert started last night talking about the "Irish being the blacks of Europe" and the "sound being amazing".

Whatever.

I'm not talking to him until the real second coming ... maybe even beyond. :)

Onward!
